Espace Stratégies specializes in tailor-made workshops adapted to client’s needs and availability. This includes acting as an external facilitator in a planned workshop. An external facilitator brings an unbiased perspective, that allows all participants to focus on the discussion at hand.

Espace Stratégies also works with clients to design workshops, taking into account factors such as the type of facilitation, presentation, content and topics. To do so, we use both traditional and innovative approaches as needed and are constantly on the lookout for inspiring new methodologies.

Espace Stratégies’s workshop services range from groups of less than 20 participants to large-scale collaborative activities with more than 100 participants. Each workshop is unique, customized according to the information required, the group size and the types of people present.

Espace Stratégies can help mobilize stakeholders and facilitate meetings or workshops for various audiences, including board members, executives, community socio-economic and environmental actors, elected officials, real estate developers, employees, merchants and more.

 

WHAT FORMS CAN WORKSHOPS TAKE?

Espace Stratégies draws on its extensive facilitation expertise to use proven or innovative methods to encourage engagement and discussion. Discussions can take various forms depending on the needs of your organization:

  • A series of three- to four-hour strategic reflection workshops with stakeholders.
  • A day-and-a-half or preferably two-day retreat either on-site, off-site or at our offices.
  • Public consultation activities.
  • An economic forum, economic summit or regional symposium bringing together community stakeholders, either as a standalone initiative or integrated into a strategic planning process.
  • One or more consultation workshops to build strategies, conduct a study, develop survey methodology or gather data or contributions.
  • One or more co-creation workshops, such as World Cafés, focus groups or other innovative workshop formats.

City of Kingsey Falls

After municipal elections in which three new councillors were elected, the City of Kingsey Falls decided to organize a retreat to establish guidelines for a comprehensive vision, intervention strategy and action plans for the coming years. The City entrusted Espace Stratégies with organizing this activity to provide elected officials with the first opportunity to focus on the future of their municipality.

City of Montréal, Bridge-Bonaventure

When developing a master plan for the Bridge-Bonaventure planning sector, the City of Montreal’s Urban Planning Department enlisted Espace Stratégies to follow up on previously conducted citizen consultations. We organized and facilitated an expanded consultation table and targeted thematic workshops. ES also managed the overall coordination of the mandate in collaboration with the Institut du Nouveau Monde.

Bouthillette-Parizeau

Bouthillette-Parizeau (BPA), a 500-employee engineering consulting firm, hired Espace Stratégies for its strategic planning. As part of this mandate, ES organized several workshops with the management team and a series of meetings to refine its strategic review for an upcoming strategic investment. This exercise enabled BPA to secure a significant investment from the Caisse de dépôt du Québec for the company’s future growth.
